Hello Sacred Heart Parishioners. It is with great joy and anticipation for the coming of the Lord that I write you. This year's Christmas card is included in the video below, along with a "walk-through" video tour of the church construction (one of your gifts). While it is a little longer than other videos, there is much information in it, as well as great video and explanations of different aspects of the enhancement. I know your time is busy, but my hope and prayer is that you watch the video in its entirety.
Hello Everyone! I want to share some exciting news with you. We have received a restricted gift, from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous, to finish Phase II (Narthex) of our Church Enhancement Project. Yes – I was taken aback myself – and very grateful to say the least. It should be noted, no money is being used from any SHOJ accounts.
That’s the first piece of good news, the second is this…We are going to begin construction soon, and it will be completed in the same time frame as the Nave enhancement. It just so happens all of our construction folks, as well as the architect, can still do phase two along with the Nave simultaneously. This should not affect any of our current Mass Times and “other activities” that occur in the Church building. There will be some mild nuanced changes and they will be communicated when necessary. Target date to be back in the church is the weekend of March 4-5, 2023. God is good!!
We've reached week 9 of renovations. Much progress is being made in our Sanctuary:

Greetings Sacred Heart - As we start week seven of our Church Enhancement Project, I want to provide you an update of the many things going on with the enhancement.
Main Nave Ceiling: All wiring has been pulled for the new pendant lights and holes have been cut, trimmed out and patched to accommodate the speakers that will now be recessed. The main ceiling will be painted and should begin on Monday, October 24, 2022.
Sanctuary Ceiling: The ceiling tiles have been removed and repainted.
Lighting: The up-lighting (large sconces on perimeter) have been removed and patched.
READ MOREDear Sacred Heart,
That's right! Construction begins on the church's worship space and will last approximately four to five months.
Construction of the church nave (worship space) will begin on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Unfortunately, as originally planned and hoped for, we will not be able to occupy the church while construction is going on. Therefore, we will need to celebrate "Weekend Mass" in the Multi Purpose Center. The good news however, the construction time is only expected to last four to five months.
