“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1 Peter 4:10
Christ’s sacrifice for us is the true example of Christian stewardship. Out of pure, unconditional love, Christ died for us, so we might have eternal life. He also gave us the gift of receiving His body and blood in the Eucharist. This weekly communion with Him nourishes us and helps us understand true humility, sacrifice and love.

“By joining your body to His, He can now transform human hearts, not by grand acts, but by everyday acts, by everyday people, practicing Everyday Stewardship,” (Everyday Stewardship: Reflections for the Journey, page 30)

As Christians, we are called to be disciples of Christ—to love others fully as Jesus loves us. Through acts of kindness and sharing of our time, talent and treasure, we are witnesses to Christ’s love. By the example of the Blessed Mother Mary and the saints, we also strive to teach others about God and lead them to heaven.

Sacred Heart is committed to forming disciples of Christ by embracing Stewardship through four pillars: Hospitality, Prayer, Formation and Service.

Sacred Heart adapted a “Stewardship Way of Life” close to 8 years ago. Click below to watch the full story of that stewardship journey!
