NET Retreat

  • What: NET Ministries is an international Catholic youth ministry that is committed to challenging young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church. The organization’s acronym stands for National Evangelization Teams. Based in St. Paul, Minnesota, NET leads approximately 1,000 retreats annually. Each year, young adult volunteers are sent out in teams across the United States to conduct retreats for Catholic teens – and they’ll be at Sacred Heart in January!
  • When: Sunday, January 27. The retreat starts at 12:30 p.m. and ends at 9:00 p.m. with breaks for dinner and refreshments. See Flyer for retreat by clicking here.

Prayer and Action Mission Trip

  • What: Prayer and Action is a mission trip program founded through the Diocese of Salina, Kansas. The idea was formed by seminarians who wanted to accomplish 2 things: offer a low cost mission trip experience and provide service to the people in their own communities. They chose to name their program after a quote about Mary from St. Pope John Paul II that emphasized Mary’s dedication to both prayer AND action.
  • When: June 7-12, June 28-July 3. Each week starts at 5 p.m. on Sunday and ends around Noon on the following Friday.
  • Cost: $175 ($100 deposit due at registration)

TEC Retreat

  • What: Sunflower TEC retreats take place over three days, where we focus on the Paschal Mystery of the dying and rising of Jesus Christ for each one of us. We have a strong team of young people who have experienced their own TEC Retreat and adults (including a priest from our Archdiocese) leading the weekend.
  • When: Friday – Sunday, November 9-11.

Steubenville Mid-America Conference

  • What: Steubenville STL Mid-America is a high-energy youth conference where thousands of teens are invited to encounter Jesus Christ through dynamic speakers, engaging music, the Sacraments, small group discussions, and fellowship with other teens. The conference is an outreach of Franciscan University in partnership with the St. Louis Archdiocesan Office of Youth Ministry.
  • When: July 10 – 13. Teens will carpool with Adult chaperones to Springfield, MO leaving around 9 a.m. on Friday and will arrive back to Sacred Heart around 3 p.m. on Sunday.
  • Cost: $250 ($100 deposit due at registration)
